Achievement of the Year nominees (Vote for one)

From national and conference championships to game-winning shots and saves, the student-athletes at the University of Wisconsin have delivered many great moments and produced some outstanding and historical achievements this past year.

Now it’s your turn to decide which play and which achievement is the best. Take part in the Wisconsin Athletics “Best of the Year Awards” presented by Funjet Vacations.

Fans are invited to vote on both the Play of the Year and the Achievement of the Year. Vote as often as you would like.

Fans who register and participate will be eligible to win a terrific Wisconsin football vacation package. One participant will be selected at random to receive a trip for two to the Wisconsin/UNLV football game on September 4. The package includes round-trip charter air from Madison, three nights of hotel accommodations at Treasure Island, game tickets, tailgate party tickets and ground transfers all courtesy of Funjet Vacations. The winner will be announced on Friday, June 18.

Voting is open now and continues through 4:30PM on Friday, June 11. The results will be revealed at UWBadgers.com beginning Monday, June 14. The top five plays and achievements will be counted down daily culminating with the announcement of the top play and top achievement of the year on Friday, June 18.

Men's Soccer:
Mark Roos scores the game-winning goal on a header with 3 seconds left vs. Western Illinois on Sept. 6

Chris Borland jumps over three players to block a punt which is eventually recovered by David Gilbert for a touchdown vs. Wofford.
VideoWomen's Soccer:
Goalkeeper Michele Dalton makes a diving save on a penalty kick by Arizona State to give UW a win in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
VideoFootball:
Despite facing pass interference from a Michigan defensive back, Nick Toon leaps over the defender and hauls in a 15-yard touchdown pass.
VideoWomen's Basketball:
Lin Zastrow takes a pass from Teah Gant with 1.8 seconds to play and makes a layup, giving Wisconsin a 58-57 win at Oregon in the World Vision Invitational.
VideoMen's Basketball:
Trevon Hughes scores on a spin move and high-arcing shot over Jon Scheyer in UW’s win over Duke on Dec. 2.
VideoWomen's Basketball:
With two seconds left in double overtime, Alyssa Karel hits a jumper in the lane off a steal by Lin Zastrow for a 76-74 win at Minnesota in Border Battle competition.
VideoWomen's Hockey:
Brianna Decker scores from Carolyne Prevost and Kelly Nash on a pretty tic-tac-toe goal in the Badgers’ win over Bemidgi State in the Culver’s Camp Randall Hockey Classic.
VideoMen's Hockey:
Defenseman Brendan Smith scores the game-winning goal on a slapshot with 1:22 remaining in the Culver’s Camp Randall Hockey Classic.
VideoMen's Basketball:
Jon Leuer hits a game-winning shot from the corner with 17 seconds left in UW’s NCAA first-round win over Wofford.
Video Men's Cross Country:
Badgers win the Big Ten title for a conference-record 11th consecutive season
Women's Soccer:
Wisconsin advances to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 1993
Football:
Badgers win 10 games for just the sixth time in school history
Men's Basketball:
Wisconsin beats three teams ranked in the top 10 (Duke, Purdue, Michigan State)
Wrestling:
UW finishes fourth at the NCAA championships, tied for the highest finish in school history
Wrestling:
Sophomore Andrew Howe goes undefeated and wins the NCAA title at 165 lbs. (just the fourth Badger to complete an undefeated season)
Men's Basketball:
UW makes the NCAA tournament for a school-record 12th consecutive season (one of just six schools in the country with an active streak that long)
Women's Basketball:
Wisconsin makes the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2002
Men's Hockey:
Badgers advance to the NCAA title game for the ninth time in school history
Men's Hockey:
Senior forward Blake Geoffrion wins the Hobey Baker Award (first in UW history)
Women's Rowing:
Wisconsin wins first-ever Big Ten title
Men's Tennis:
qualifies for the NCAA tournament for a school-record fourth consecutive season
