Supervisors

Herbert Hackworthy- Executive Chef

Herbert has been the Executive Chef for the University of Wisconsin, Madison Athletic Department since October of 2000.  He is responsible for all food preparation in the Athletic Department facilities.  For each location he handles hiring, staff supervision, menu and function planning, service/maintenance of all food and beverage equipment and food ordering and preparation.

Herbert earned his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 1980 and is certified by the American Culinary Federation.  He has held numerous positions of responsibility including Line Chef, Sous Chef and Executive Chef at various country clubs throughout Wisconsin prior to his employment with the Athletic Department.  Herbert has completed various continuing education courses to include training at the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, and has been a member of American culinary federation since 1978.

Heidi Richardson –Catering Manager

Heidi Richardson joined the Food and Beverage Department in July of 2006 as the Catering Manager.  Before joining the staff she graduated from UW Stout with a Bachelors in Hospitality and Tourism Management.  She oversees all the Catering at the Kohl Center and Camp Randall Stadium.

Blair Schmitz– Suite Services Manager

Blair Schmitz joined the Food and Beverage Department in July of 2000 as the Beverage Manager and helped in opening the Club Seats at Camp Randall. In 2005, he switched roles and now oversees the Suite Operations at Camp Randall and the Kohl Center.

Cory Neeley– Club Seating and Beverage Manager

Cory Neeley has worked for Food and Beverage since December of 2000 when he started working as a bartender.  After graduating from the UW in 2005, he took the position of Club Seating and Beverage Manager.  In that capacity, he oversees the three clubs at Camp Randall, supervises bars at catered events and controls the beverage inventories at the Kohl Center and Camp Randall.

 

Jeremy Isensee– Team Meal Manager and Dietitian

Jeremy Isensee joined the Food and Beverage Department in August 2006.  He manages Student-Athlete Meals and Recruiting Events.  He also oversees the nutritional needs of the Student-Athletes.

Tim Taggart– Food and Beverage Director

Tim Taggart has been in the food service industry for over 30 years.  He was the Special Events Coordinator for Coca Cola, owned his own grocery and deli business, was Concession Manager for UW Athletics, and has been the Food and Beverage Director for the past 7 years.  He is responsible for the overall operations of the food service for the Athletic Department at the many different venues within the University.
