Student positions

Our students are a very important part of what Food and Beverage does for the Athletic Department.  Our students help us complete our goal which is to provide excellent service at each of our facilities.  The schedules we offer are very flexible with the exception of the Football season, when we expect staff to be able to work each game.

Bartender

Our Bartenders primarily work in the clubs at Camp Randall Stadium.  These clubs include the Varsity Clubs, Heritage Hall, Buckingham Club and the hospitality tents outside the stadium.  It’s a great job for those of you who enjoy mixing drinks and serving customers but cannot commit past seasonal employment.

Caterer

This is probably the position that demands the most flexibility from an employee.  As a caterer you will be asked to help work team meal shifts, Kellner Club events and other catered functions on Football, Basketball and Hockey game days.   These students work during the Fall and Spring semesters  with many training table shifts starting in August.

Kitchen Assistant

Kitchen Assistants are students who help our group of Chefs, Soux chefs and team meal Chefs with the preparation of food.  As a kitchen assistant, you will learn techniques of cooking from some of the best chefs in Madison.   This is a great job for those of you who enjoy good food and culinary arts.  Kitchen Assistants work during the Fall and Spring semesters with many shifts starting in August.

Server

Servers generally are hired for Club Seating staff.  In the club seats you will be serving food and drinks to guests located in either Varsity Clubs or the Buckingham Club.  It’s a great job for those of you with limited free time in the fall since we primarily employ staff for football gamedays.    We do bring some servers back with us to the Kohl Center at the end of the Football season to work as catering staff.

Suite Attendant

Suite Attendants are responsible for providing our Suite guests with an excellent game day experience that is regarded as one of the best in the nation.  Responsibilities include setting up the suite for events, food and beverage service, clean-up and inventory of the suites.  Attendants should be personable, professional and eager to address the suite guests’ questions and concerns while maintaining the high-quality customer service our guests have come to expect.
